The Center

The X-ray service platform is an institution of D-MATL. It supports research activities at D-MATL by providing instruments and scientific know-how for material characterization with X-ray diffraction techniques. The service includes operation and maintenance of scientific hard- and software, theoretical and experimental support of users, organization of beam-time at synchrotron or neutron facilities as well as general crystallographic consultancy. The platform contributes to the development of innovative experimental and theoretical techniques to also match non-standard user needs. External users from within or outside the ETH domain are welcome.
